Slashdot Acquired

The breaking news of the day so far is that Slashdot has been acquired by Andover.net.

This is exciting to me because it really demonstrates the beauty and power of the Internet. What else could allow a couple regular guys to turn a good idea into a rising technocentric portal and in a small town outside the realm of Silicon Valley no less? Yeah Baby Yeah!

Uneventful Monday

Today was pretty uneventful. I came home and took a nap.

Tomorrow I make my summer coaching debut with Team III at 6:10pm out at SCC.

Sunday Update

I’m not sure if I’m going to make it down to Hoopfest or not today.

Obviously I finally decided to do a little computing and get caught up on my site here which was woefully behind. I think I’m definitely going to go a new direction with it in a few weeks.

Big Daddy

Despite being slightly cloudy and overcast, as well as being a bit colder than usual, a ton of people turned out for Hoopfest. I managed to snag one of this year’s nifty posters as well. Now I just need to get a frame for it.

This has been a pretty good movie weekend. Tonight I went to Big Daddy. It was a cute movie and I enjoyed seeing Adam Sandler play a somewhat different role than he’s done before.
