Bedtime

It’s been a fairly long day of driving, basketball scouting, and more driving. I’m feeling pretty exhausted. Time to catch some sleep.

Saxons Triumph!

It wasn’t pretty and it went down to the wire, but the Ferris boys basketball team managed to beat the #1 ranked Shadle Park Highlanders 53-52 tonight. Wow! My heart’s still trying to recover.

Radio Userland Exploits

I emailed Robert this morning with a couple questions about importing old weblog entries into Radio Userland and this was basically his response. I can understand where he’s coming from and I wasn’t offended by his response in anyway, but I was still disappointed. I like to live on the bleeding edge I guess.

So my immediate response to his quick, yet largely unsatisfying reply was to start examining the code in builtins.radio.weblog. The render routine looks promising, but the number of parameters it requires was fairly daunting. In the end I decided to put things on hold until I had more time to examine things.

Mission Accomplished

Well, as of about 12:45 AM this morning I’ve managed to successfully imported all my old entries into Radio Userland. I haven’t figured out how to force Radio to rerender the whole site yet, but I’m going to save that task for later today. For now it’s time to get some sleep.

Stylesheet Solution

Aha, the solution to my stylesheet issues with Radio. [Nicholas Riley’s Weblog]

Definitely one to add to the useful Radio Userland tips file.

The brick concept sounds kind of interesting, but ubiquitous docking stations don’t seem realistic. It’s kind of a chicken - egg problem.

I wonder how they came up with the term Zinc fingers?
