I managed to damage the little toe on my right foot quite effectively yesterday morning when I stubbed it on part of a bird bath. Why there’s a disassembled bird bath being stored in our kitchen at the moment instead of out in our yard is a question best left for the chief landscaper in the house; conveniently she’s gone for most of the week.
The good news is that my toe actually doesn’t seem to be hurting as much as it did during the earlier parts of the day. The bad news is that my poor little toe looks a lot redder than it did midway through the day and the swelling seems to have increased. I would guess that it would hurt a lot more if it was actually broken, but I have no way of knowing without an x-ray.
