Sweet 16

It was tough going for Adam Morrison, but the Zags did it and beat Indiana 90-80 thanks to great play from the supporting cast. Sean Mallon came up huge and played the kind of game that those who followed his Ferris high school career knew he was always capable of. 15 points and 10 rebounds couldn’t have come at a better time and made a lot of people in Spokane proud. And of course Erroll Knight was simply sensational around the basket with his dunks and tip-ins, especially considering how sick he had been earlier in the day.

Next up: UCLA!

I watched Gonzaga in the first round and was really impressed with Adam Morrison. He’s the only person you need to stop to beat Gonzaga, and teams still can’t stop him. I also like his 60’s look.

It’s funny that you should say that because in the second round Adam had his first bad offensive game in a while (14 points!) and the team still beat Indiana 90-80. People that think he’s the only guy you need to stop haven’t watched Gonzaga play very much. Batista is a huge reason for their success literally and figuratively, and they’re as talented a team overall as they’ve ever been.
