Hoops and Stuff

Sunday, January 23rd, 2000

I got in quite a bit of sports this weekend. I watched GU finally beat USD at USD (in overtime no less). Then today I caught the end of the Jags/Titans game and all of the Rams/Bucs game. I was surprised by the outcome of the first game and pleased with the second as it means Jeff Robinson, one of my dad’s former basketball players, will be playing in the Super Bowl. Another weekend has come and gone. Work has been going well overall though so I can’t feel too bad.

The Iron Giant

Sunday, December 19th, 1999

I think I’m finally just about recovered from all the shopping that I did earlier today. Thankfully, I’m much closer to being done as well.

My girlfriend and I had planned to go to today’s GU basketball game against Montana, but apparently too many people were free to attend the game this afternoon and we were turned away at the door. I didn’t mind too much since the Bulldogs had already beaten Montana once this season by 16 or so, and missing the game allowed us to do some additional shopping.

I just discovered an interesting cross platform XHTML related product over at mozquito.org. It looks like they have some fairly interesting stuff in the works there.

I succeeded in doing a little bit of shopping yesterday, and it looks like I’m about to do some more here. I still have quite a bit to get done in this coming week unfortunately.

I picked up The Iron Giant on DVD while I was shopping yesterday. In case you hadn’t heard, it’s a great animated film with something for kids and adults. It’s also one of the first films to fully integrate a CG character with traditional animation, and does it quite well.

Bullgdogs Beat The Dawgs

Tuesday, December 14th, 1999

I spent Monday evening out at my parents’ house watching Gonzaga take on the University of Washington. It ended up being a fairly close game although the good guys prevailed in the end.

Gonzaga’s point guard, Matt Santangelo, has a new web journal entry. He also had a two handed reverse dunk in tonight’s game. Not bad for a 6′1″ little guy.

Here’s an interesting space oriented site I stumbled onto recently. Lots of articles covering everything from beaming power from orbit to space tourism. I wonder if I will travel into space in my lifetime?

Actually, I don’t think traveling in space really interests me anymore at this point in my life.

Zags Lose To UConn

Saturday, March 20th, 1999

Gonzaga couldn’t quite pull it out today. They gave UConn a great game though. They made a great run though during the past few weeks. Great job guys!

I’m already looking forward to next year.

Analyze This

Friday, March 19th, 1999

I went to Analyze This this evening. It’s the first movie I’ve seen in a few weeks and it was definitely amusing at times, although not exceptional. De Niro is always good in my book and he’s perfect for this role.

Will reality finally settle in for Gonzaga tomorrow? It’s been a great week and a half regardless!

Zags Beat Florida!

Thursday, March 18th, 1999

Zags win a thriller against Florida! Unbelievable!

40 minutes from the Final Four!

Zags Hoops

Thursday, January 28th, 1999

Just got back from the Zags game.

GU ended up winning by about 20. As usual I saw many people I know and work with including Mitzi.

Tomorrow Ferris plays Mt. Spokane way out north.
