The Hurricane

Saturday, February 5th, 2000

I ran into my friend Nichole while out at my family’s house today. Nothing like that daily dose of stinging putdowns I always say. She and my sister have a site here. It needs work and it’s not a weblog, but it’s better than nothing.

Looks like I’m finally going to go to The Hurricane tonight. My dad reports that it’s pretty good after seeing it last night so I imagine I’ll like it as well.

Laundry And That 70’s Show

Monday, June 14th, 1999

I went to my parents house to do some laundry in the new washer. It seemed to work pretty well if a bit slower than the agitator style washers I’m used to.

I watched an hour’s worth of That 70’s Show with Kristen and Nichole. It was pretty amusing.

Shoe Shopping And Movies

Saturday, June 12th, 1999

I did a little bit of shoe shopping today with my mom, Kristen, and Nichole. I ended up buying a pair of black Doc Martens and some navy blue Tommy Hilfigers.

Nichole being the young lady of discerning taste that she is, threatened to beat me with my Tommy’s. She was also worried that I might wear my new Doc’s with shorts and white socks. Give me a little credit Chunky!

Later that afternoon we ditched my mom and went to Election. It was definitely an entertaining yet thoroughly twisted film. Every single character in the movie had things to dislike about them.

Computer Saving Day

Tuesday, May 25th, 1999

Today was Jason saves the day for his family and friend’s computers.

First I went out to my family’s house and got their iMac working again. That was fairly painless since I’d already started the previous day before leaving for more pressing engagements.

After I got done with the iMac I headed back into town to take a look at Brian’s computer. He’s never been able to connect at speeds greater that 21.6kbps with his internal modem. After fiddling with settings and running 3Com’s phone line test we determined that he has two problems. His phone line and the internal modem itself. So I’m not sure what he’ll end up doing.

I ate at Taco Bell twice yesterday, mainly because they’re having that Phantom Menace contest and I want to win. Yes, I know I have no chance.

The strangest thing happened while I was waiting in the drive through while getting my dinner at Taco Bell. I looked in my rear view mirror and the girl driving the car behind me totally reminded me of Mary. She had similarly cut red hair, and although her eyes and nose were in shadow her chin, jaw, and mouth seened amazingly similar.

Strange coincidence… or something else entirely?

While fiddling around with Kristen we discovered that I had managed to get a little sunburned yesterday during my 15 minute walk from Speedy Auto Glass back to my office. I was wearing a white t-shirt and the rays must have gone straight through to my shoulders and neck.

New Windshield Time

Saturday, May 22nd, 1999

I went out to my family’s house to visit with Kristen for a while this afternoon. I installed some nifty graphics programs for Kristen to play with while I was trying to come up with a cool cd graphic design.

At some point I got the brilliant idea to go out and shoot a few baskets.

Unfortunately for me (and my car’s poor windshield) I missed one too many shots and pretty much finished off my already well cracked windshield. Looks like it’s time to finally replace it.

Never Been Kissed

Sunday, May 16th, 1999

I’m amazed at how fast May has gone by. I’m ready to get into some more June-like weather though. Today was a step in the right direction I think.

I went to Never Been Kissed with Kristen and my mom today after a brief shopping expedition to Northtown.

Track Meet And Lilac Parade

Saturday, May 15th, 1999

I started off the day by watching some track out at Mount Spokane High School. Kristen ran the 800 and then a leg of the 4×400. Amazingly enough her team won the relay! Unfortunately my mom and I missed it because we were getting cold and wanted to get some shopping in.

This evening Mary and I went and watched the Lilac Parade downtown. That was pretty fun and it was cool that the weather stayed bearable.

Tired

Monday, May 3rd, 1999

I’m really feeling tired as I right this. And when I start writing in homonyms that’s clearly a symptom. LOL

Kristen and I took her new (used) car over to Nichole’s to show it off and take her out to ice cream. I got a strawberry sundae. It was excellent.

It turns out my bike didn’t ship out from the factory until last Friday. At least it should be ready by the weekend now.

New Shelves

Saturday, May 1st, 1999

I found a couple bookshelves at Office Depot that I liked quite a bit so I bought them both. It was a pain hauling them up to my apartment though since my elevator doesn’t seem to be functioning currently. It’s a good thing Kristen’s been pumping iron for a while.

We actually got a nice little dose of rain today. From what I hear they’re expecting more of the same for Bloomsday tomorrow.

It took me forever to get my two bookshelves assembled. Hopefully I didn’t annoy my neighbors too much with my hammering.

Videos With Kristen

Friday, April 30th, 1999

No bike yet, but today was definitely a most excellent day anyway!

I test drove Kristen’s new means of transportation and watched a couple videos with her. Home Fries was basically lame I thought, while Gattaca was as good as I remembered it being.

CD Burning

Saturday, April 24th, 1999

I totally planned on going to the track meet today, but I slept in a little bit and then got sidetracked putting together a music cd.

This afternoon I went out and visited my family and helped my sister and Nichole put together a cd for their friend’s birthday. It turned out pretty well I think.

Trek 7500SHX

Wednesday, April 21st, 1999

After a day of mulling over my bike purchasing options I went for the gusto and ordered this beauty.

Trek 7500 SHX

It should arrive about a week from today.

Kristen and I successfully burned our first music cd tonight. It was really quick once we selected all the tunes we wanted. That took a long time though.

Bike Shopping

Tuesday, April 20th, 1999

My visit to Wheelsport yesterday was pretty fruitful. I tried out two of the main models I was thinking about, the Trek 7500 and the Trek 7500 SHX. Front shocks make a huge difference in the feel of the bike!

I went out to my family’s to try making a cd with Kristen, but I forgot one important thing- the blank cdr’s! Doh!

I also watched Futurama of course. It was definitely the best one to date.

Early Morning Rain

Saturday, April 3rd, 1999

It’s early Saturday morning and it’s actually raining! At least it was after I left Steve’s parents house.

I’m hoping that Kristen and I can go to The Matrix this afternoon.

Improving The Site…

Saturday, January 30th, 1999

I’ve been doing a variety of research on things I can do to improve my site at Script Meridian and webmonkey.

I went to The Thin Red Line with my mom and sister tonight. It was good.
