I think the Casio QV-2000UX is going to be the camera for me. It’s got exactly the feature set I want (USB, 3x optical zoom, max resolution of 1600×1200, etc.) at a price point of around $500 these days. For $300 more you can get it with an IBM 340MB Microdrive (costs over $400 individually), but I’d rather get a new stereo I think.
Of course I haven’t ordered anything yet and I still might not do it.
