Colon, Indians suprise Mariners with six-hit shutout
I caught parts of the first three or four innings in between work, but then I had to leave for a meeting. Looks like the M’s have a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the resolve they’ve shown all season long come Thursday. I’m definitely going to move a tv into my office prior to the next game.
Aside from his base stealing gaff I thought Ichiro played pretty well during the first half of the game. Brett Boone on the other hand didn’t do as well as I had hoped. Colon is tough when he’s on though, no question. And Freddy was disappointing. A game like this makes Pete Gillick’s mid-season desire to get an elite pitcher all the more understandable.
