State Day One

The big game today was supposed to be Shadle Park vs. Garfield, but unfortunately only one team showed up and it resulted in a 30 point mauling of the Highlanders. Garfield was too quick, too agressive, too everything and Shadle Park played their worst game of the year. Weisner and Pariseau combined for less than 30 and the rest of their team combined for less than 10. It was completely brutal.

Mead had a chance to beat Enumclaw, but they weren’t able to pull it out in the end. Morrison had a good game, but I heard he was robbed by a couple questionable calls.

The Ferris Puyallup game was close most of the way, but we were able to pull away at the end thanks to some clutch free throwing shooting in the second half. As a team we were actually 23 of 25 from the line which is by far our best performance of the year. Puyallup’s big guys couldn’t really handle Sean, he was simply too quick on drives to the hoop.

Our next opponent will be Snohomish and our guards are really going to have to step it up. Snohomish played a lot of full court trapping defense and we struggled when Puyallup pressed at the end of the game.
