Time is actually money according to this formula: V=(W((100-t)/100))/C, where V is the value of an hour, W is a person’s hourly wage, t is the tax rate and C is the local cost of living.
Update: Thanks to Google I was able to find local cost of living data for Spokane at around 1.05 times the national average. I plugged in an arbitrary tax rate (no pay stubs handy at the moment) and came up with a rough value for my time of $12.50 an hour (21 cents a minute). Interesting. I’ll have to play with this a little bit further when I get the chance.
